I have been a luthier since 1982. Having gained my diploma cum laude at the Parma Music Conservatory under the supervision of Renato Scrollavezza, I went on to specialize in crafting and restoring bowed and plucked string instruments with renowned master luthiers and restorers.

My instruments are appreciated by musicians around the world, in particular in the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Thailand.

After building a prize-winning cello in 1991, and a silver-medal violin in 1999, I am currently the instrument curator for musical institutions in Ravenna, Faenza and Forlė as well as guest crafter and restorer in several studios and showrooms in various countries.
I developed an interest in restoring and maintaining baroque instruments long before the original instrument movement became popular in Italy, owing in part to the presence in my city of the Accademia Bizantina, an internationally-known ensemble performing with period instruments.
